Jónsi from Sigur Rós covers MGMT live on Radio 1 – Incredible Cover of ‘Time to Pretend’
I tend to keep this blog pumped with just marketing content, mainly social and new media updates, and the next Internet craze; however, I am putting a change of pace to things and will be using this blog also to just share snippets of my life, personal and technical. My passion for life, music, happiness and just the fact I get to wake up everyday and do what I do – I truly am lucky. Now, enough of the prelude – I am a massive music hound, both indie, rock, rap, metal, reggae, techno, house, etc…You name it – I love it. Recently, I came across this insanely well-done cover of MGMT’s “Time to Pretend.” The cover is by Sigur Rós front-man Jónsi who appeared on BBC Radio 1 and serenaded listeners with his piano ballad version of the otherwise spacey, danceable track by MGMT.
Jónsi’s versions is a sick display of talent and shows off his genius to turn a great, entertaining song into something even more worth-listening to. Take a listen below and help yourself to the full session here
